Dark Souls

I’m planning to participate in Na/GloPoWriMo (National / Global Poetry Writing Month). I was thinking about committing to writing an original poem every day, using none of the aids I usually use – but I think I’m going to stick with blackout and magnetic poetry 😉 I’ll post them to the blog in addition to Instagram, maybe with some additional notes or an extra poetic element or something… We’ll see. I may or may not use the NaPoWriMo prompts, and I may or may not throw in a standalone poem here or there. The possibilities are endless! Ah, the joy of possibilities!

For the next few days, I’ll be desecrating a Passover haggadah or three, and a book of Passover laws.  It’s patriarchal, it’s xenophobic, it’s everything I can’t stand about Orthodox Judaism. It’s a part of my #TextRehabilitation project!

pesach darkness
heaven writes a nation of souls like the stars. This does not take into account the darkness.
